Campfires

Campfires can cause lasting impacts to our camping areas. Where fires are permitted, only established fire rings and alter fires are to be used. No other ground fires are allowed.
Fires should be kept small at all times ( sticks from the ground are best...and plentiful) and all wood and coals should burn to ash before fully extinguished. This applies to the Main Campfire Circle and the Small Campfire Circle also.
Any wood left should be returned to the Main Woodpile and not left around the site. Fire rings & alter fires should be cleared of ash which should be deposited in the ashpit next to the woodpile.
All alter fires should be returned to their storage area and not abandoned on any site.
Pits must not be dug for any purpose.
