Other Facilities

The campsite has a small, well stocked providore providing drinks, confectionary, souvenirs and small toys & gifts.

The shop is open at various times during weekends and be opened at other times by prior arrangement with the Templars' Park shop staff.

Toilets & Showers

The site has one main toilet & shower block located in the main hub (in the courtyard of the White House).

The showers are currently housed in one unisex shower room.  When mixed parties are using the sites, different time slots for use of the showers may be allocated for males and females.  Please see Templars' Park site staff for arrangements.

In addition, there is a small toilet block located towards the southern end of the campsite near the Green Lady/Lone Pine camping areas.

Please ensure that all toilets and showers are left in a clean and tidy condition after use.

Campfire Circle (Large)

The site has a main campfire circle which was recently renovated thanks to Lottery funding.  The improved facilities can host campfire events for around 300-400 people and are used most weekends.

Users should check with all other groups on-site and we encourage joint campfires.

The facility is available for specific group events and activities through prior arrangement with the Templars' Park site staff.

Campfire Circle (Small)

In addition to the main campfire circle, there is a smaller area located near the MacRobert camping area, which is available for smaller events and activities.  The small campfire circle is ideal for smaller groups and/or where there are only a couple of groups on site.

The small campfire circle can also be used for specific group events and activities either through prior arrangement or checking with Templars' Park site staff / other users.

The Clachan is an outdoor meeting area, partially screened, to provide a separate area for groups to meet and use for events and activities.  The area is ideal for Scouts' Own events, investitures, group meetings and AGM's, and other activities.

No prior booking is generally required, but it is worth checking with Templars' Park site staff if groups are specifically wanting to use the area during their stay.

Pot Wash

There is a purpose-built washing bay, with sinks and draining areas, located next to the shop, for groups to use for washing pots and pans, plates, utensils, etc.  Washing of such items in the toilet blocks is not allowed.

The pot-wash has hot water available, and this is usually turned on by Templars' Park site staff at a weekend.  If the facility is required outwith of weekends then this can be provided through prior arrangement with the site staff.

Please see the activities page for more details of the instructor-led and leader-led activities available on site.

Sand Pit

The sand pit (on the location of the old swimming pool) can be used by Groups on a first-come, first-served basis for activities such as sandcastle building, volleyball, treasure hunts, etc.

Please ensure the area is left clean and tidy after use.
