Green Lady
The Green Lady campsite was named after the ghost that sometimes appears in the area and at the nearby graveyard (located just off-site and part of the neighbouring hotel).
The Green lady site is split into six bookable areas. Each area can hold up to 15-20 campers. In addition, each site has its own timber built shelter which can be used as a store and cooking/dining area. Please note that there is no ground fire circle on this site currently.
The site is situated at top/bottom end (southern end) of the campsite (depending on your perspective) and sits below the highest point of the campsite (marked by a small cairn).
The site also has a small toilet block nearby.
Groups can book the whole area and this would allow groups of up to 150 people (approximately) to use this area.
This site is ideal for a large Group/Troop camps, or individual Troop Patrol camps.
Warning - this site should only be used by campers who are not afraid of ghosts. Anyone seeing the ‘Green Lady’ should inform the site wardens.
